The 16mm Found Footage Workshop deals with strategies and techniques of Cultural Jamming. The workshop will work with old educational film material from the US and the GDR, whereby methods of propaganda and manipulation will be deconstructed, thus giving insights into the effectiveness created through the montage of film material.

Craig Baldwin is a leading figure of the independent West Coast film scene, an expert on Found Footage and Cultural Jamming, running his own cinema and film archive in San Francisco, and making films for 20 years, amongst them ‹Tribulation 99›, ‹Spectres of the Spectrum›, and ‹Sonic Outlaws› about the avant-garde music group ‹Negativland› which will also be shown at the biennial.
