Starting point for the workshop is the assumption that the shrinkage of cities is a tendency that will soon extend to other parts of Europe. Instead of cultivation, enlargement and growth, we should get used to a process of taking down, stepping back and returning areas to nature. This turn would be a radical cultural turn. How would it influence our experience and attitude towards notions such as nature and wilderness? What would be its impact on our thinking and perception of ‹public space› and the unknown?

Scenarios to be developed can take the form of various media. Then a quick ‹collection› in the tradition of the Cabinets of Wonder, history, archaeology, etc. will be built. It will have a place at the 6th Werkleitz Biennale.
